PDAP: Blocked flag is not set during Supplier master data import.

Issue

Suppliers are flagged as blocked in SAP; however, the blocked flag is not set for those suppliers when imported into AP Essentials.

Solution

When using the "/cockpit/md_export" program in Process Director to export Supplier master data, the "blocked" flag is not included in the export.   Only the following fields are exported using the /cockpit/md_export program:

• SupplierNumber
• Name1
• VATRegistrationNumber
• Street
• PostalCode
• City
• CountryName
• TelephoneNumber
• FaxNumber

Important note:  Even if the Blocked flag is added to the Supplier XML file, either manually or via a variant of the /cockpit/md_export program, it will not be imported into AP Essentials.  Only the fields listed above will be imported into AP Essentials via this method.


Some possible solutions are:

• When using "/cockpit/md_export", filter out the blocked suppliers prior to import into AP Essentials.
• Contact Professional Services about alternate methods of exporting supplier master data from SAP.  Professional Services has developed several alternate solutions for exporting supplier master data from SAP into AP Essentials.
