How to configure the new profile setting: Last page identification

Issue

Starting with ReadSoft Invoices 6.1, a new setting is available to set the last page of the invoice. How is it configured?

Solution

1- To use the Last page identification settings, make sure that the PageIdentificationUsingPageIdentificationField flag in the [PageIdentification] section in eiglobalextra.ini is set to 1. If this section is not there, please add it.

**Make sure the [PageIdentification] section exists at the top of the eiglobalextra.ini, not the bottom of the file, as is normally the case.  It has been determined that PageIdentification doesn't work if this section exists at the bottom of the eiglobalextra.ini.

2- Using Manager, right-click an open invoice profile and click Settings. Click on the Option: "Number of page identification identifiers" and Select the number of page identification identifiers to be used to detect the last page of an invoice. You can select up to two page identification identifiers.

3- Create a new field profile for each identifier. To use page identification identifiers, make sure the following options are selected in Single item field profile: 

• General:
  • Field type: PageIdentification1 or PageIdentification2

  • Format type: Regular with Numeric

  • Specification: N(1)

• Titles:

  • Use titles to search for value, and include the word that will be used as last page identifier

 ** Exercise caution of what titles are added.  The system appears to use field profile titles first then applies any invoice definition optimized titles.  To keep the system open ended, minimizing any conflict, add the title 'dummy' then optimize the page identification field to any title without conflict. 

• Options:

  • Occurrence: Last page

  • Treatment: Affects invoice status and Title occurrence sets value

4- Save the changes in profile (update definition dialog will appear) 

5- Optimize that new field, select the correct title in the invoice image and set the field option to "last page" . 

6- Set AllPagesAreInvoicePages=0 and AllPagesAreInvoicePagesInterpret=0 in the eilocal.ini [Interpret] section.

7- Restart Invoices services.
