Archiving Requirements for AP Essentials to Process Director Transfers

ISSUE

Process Director Connect Core will not retrieve any documents from AP Essentials if there is no archiving configuration.

It raises an error because the configuration isn't found and displays a message indicating it couldn't find any documents with status 01.

If a customer wants to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in an environment without a content repository.

If the archiving configuration is set, it fails because the invoice image cannot be stored.

If they remove the archiving configuration, it won't even retrieve documents from AP Essentials.

Is this intended behavior?

Is this a defect?

Is an archiving configuration always required?

CAUSE

The documentation is not clear.

SOLUTION

As an invoice cannot be created in Process Director Accounts Payable without an invoice attachment from AP Essentials, an invoice image is always required.

A fix will be available if/when provided in a future release and/or in the pre-correction RSPDN2247145.
