Export document fields/table to Excel/CSV

SOLUTION

Exporting of Excel type data usually refers to a table (rows/columns) in human speak.

TTA does not separate the table (document field) from the document itself.

You can use an ExportConnector which would export data in .csv format, but the data would be ALL document fields.

For instance, in the Export Connector For Text, the Index Storage tab has some options for exporting data, but no specifically in xls/xlsx, it would be to a file Excel can interpret eg. .csv

(This would export document fields as a whole and not a table which is part of the doc.)

In terms of exporting a specific Table, on a form, to an external Excel file, this is mentioned in: 

Enhancement Request 558939 Allow method in KTA to save form output as Excel file (XLS/XLSX) 

However, such requests do not have an ETA on when they could potentially be implemented.

So it's important to consider do you want to export all fields in a document or specific table.

If it's the latter, here is an example scenario:

- Created a form with a table

- Above the table on this form, is a field where you can select group resources, on this select, it calls upon "GetMembersOfGroup"

How to export this table with the results (so basically a user list)?

You can most likely do it with a custom DLL mapping the results of the call "GetMembersOfGroup" to a variable you can then write to csv or txt file.
